  • Note, there are no camps on:

    • June 19th (Juneteenth)

    • July 4th (Independence Day)

    • The week of August 10th or 17th.

Hiring Process

Hiring is on a rolling basis throughout the winter and spring until all positions are filled. Here's how it works:

FAQs

  • Summer Programs run:

    • Monday, June 8th to Friday, August 7th.

      • There are limited camp options in August.

  • Summer Programs are closed:

    • June 19th.

    • July 4th to July 5th.

  • For those looking for additional hours, there are also opportunities to work pre-camp, the last few weeks in May.

  • Summer Programs run from:

    • 8:30am to 3:45pm.

  • Staff members arrive at:

    • 8:00am on Tuesday to Friday.

    • 7:45am on Monday, for our weekly meeting.

    • Staff members are required to work atleast two shifts per week.

  • After care runs from:

    • 3:45pm to 5:30pm.

  • As an ISCreson Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for your campers and their camp activities throughout the day, including lunch and on any field trips. Camp activities will vary by week depending on which camp you are assigned to.

  • Camp counselors are expected to assist with drop off and pick up, including signing campers in and out to approved parents and guardians.

  • Camp counselors who are not working after care on a given day are expected to clean up their classrooms and facilitate preparations for the next day of camp.

  • Yes! Staff training is mandatory for all staff. Exceptions will only be made for extenuating circumstances.

  • Online training will be sent upon being hired, and the amount of online training hours will vary depending on qualifications.

  • Specific roles may require additional training, which will be outlined in your interview.

  • Nope! Lunch is provided by our in-house dining service, SAGE Dining—we think the photo answers it!

  • Yup! Each Camp Counselor is provided with atleast one ISCreson Summer t-shirt.

  • Note, ISCreson Camp Counselors are required to wear their provided ISCreson Summer t-shirt every Monday, and any day there is a field trip.

    • Camp Counselors are still encouraged to wear their provided t-shirts at any time—though.

    • We also recommend athletic or casual shorts, comfortable clothing, and closed-toe shoes, that should be worn at all times.

    • Finally, keep in mind that campers in your care will look up to you, and emulate you in every way!

  • Yes! We can offer free or significantly discounted camps to our summer staff members. Please contact us for more information.

Working as a counselor for ISCreson was the best choice for a summer job that I’ve ever made. Each week offered a new unique experience to not only the campers, but to us as counselors too! Being a counselor is so rewarding and allows you to help children step out of their comfort zone and try new things in a safe environment. I always felt like I had the support and resources I needed from Dani and everyone on staff to lead camps with confidence and excitement.
