Our volunteers are the heart of our community!

Community is what makes ISCreson more than a school; it’s at the core of the ISCreson experience.

  • Whether it's helping prep masks for our Pumpkin Party or joining the DPA Executive Committee, ISCreson families can be involved as often and as much as they want throughout the year!

Families can choose from a wide variety of fun and social ways to get involved. You'll connect with other parents and make new friends throughout the school year, while you give your time and talent to ISCreson.

Opportunities

Through the DPA, there are countless volunteer opportunities and ways to connect with other ISCreson parents. Consider volunteering for any or all of the following community building programs and activities throughout the school year:

Without philanthropic giving to our school we could not provide the ISCreson Experience that truly sets our school apart.

Volunteering with our Gala and/or our Community Giving Champions committees are fun ways to make a huge difference in the lives of our learners, teachers, and generous parents.

Our annual Gala may be a single big night of drinks, dancing, and donating, but it takes a tight team of parent volunteers months to pull off this signature event every spring.

This high commitment opportunity will ask you to:

  • Solicit items for our auction, silent auction, and raffle.

  • Give strong input on the event theme, decorations, materials, program, and messaging.

  • Meet every few weeks and then weekly starting a few months before the event, often in March or April.

  • Market the event to the school community.

  • Put in a little bit of elbow grease on event day as we work with our venue to set tables, move decorations, and put the final touches on a complex production.

You love ISCreson because it just has that something that you can’t find anywhere else. We call that the ISCreson Experience. From making sure our faculty are always learning and improving with professional development opportunities, to growing our financial assistance capacity, ISCreson takes pride in so much that we have grown to enjoy and expect that is funded anew each year by our generous parent community via our Community Giving program.

As a Champion of our Community Giving program, you join a committed and broad group of parents who:

  • Stay knowledgeable about our Community Giving program via monthly (or fewer) meetings with our Assistant Director of Community Giving.

  • Periodically host fun and casual info sessions with other parents to answer questions about Community Giving.

  • Amplify ISCreson’s messaging on our key fundraising dates (Giving Tuesday and our annual Gala), while educating our community on the importance of Community Giving and the other 363 days of the year.

There are many other opportunities throughout the school year to get involved. The administrative staff and our DPA will announce many other volunteer needs throughout the school year, so keep your eyes open for upcoming exciting ways to participate in the ISCreson community. Check your World E-News weekly for additional opportunities as they become available!
